🧵 Just got my cloud architecture certification and I have THOUGHTS Here's what 6 months of studying actually taught me (spoiler: it's not what you think) 1/ Everyone told me to memorize the services. That's not the hard part. The hard part? Understanding when NOT to use them. 2/ The exam scenarios are wildly different from real projects. In real life, you're balancing budget, team skills, and "we need it yesterday." 3/ Best thing I learned? How to ask better questions. Now when stakeholders say "we need scalability," I know exactly what to dig into. Worth it? Absolutely. But not for the reasons I expected.

I realized I hadn't talked to a human in days and my only friend was my coffee maker. ☕ What actually works for me now: - Home Mondays (deep work) - Office Tue-Wed (meetings, collaboration) - Home Thursday (focus) - Office Friday (fun stuff, 1-on-1s) The flexibility matters more than the ratio. Some weeks I need the office energy. Some weeks I need to hide from humans and ship code. Hybrid isn't perfect, but it lets me choose. And that's what actually matters.
